The Civil Code of Québec allows any adult of sound mind to prepare a protection mandate. In it, you can describe how you want to be looked after and how you want your property to be managed if someday you are unable to do so yourself.

When a registered Indian whose principal residence is on-reserve is deemed under provincial legislation to no longer be capable of handling his/her own financial affairs, AANDC may administer that individual’s estate or appoint someone to administer it.
