UPDATE: The Lands and Estates department remains closed so there will be no land transfers, estate transfers or writing of last will and testaments until further notice. Please be reminded that fillable wills can be found on website and can be sent to Amanda who will amend ensuring last will and testament is ready for final reading. Once the document has been approved by the testator and estates manager it can be signed in front of two witnesses and then commissioned while respecting social distancing and sanitary measures.

The Emergency Response Unit (ERU) has recommended that all non-essential services, are on hold until the state of emergency has been lifted. At this time, the Lands & Estates dept. are considered non-essential, unless at such time the ERU deems it essential under special circumstances.
Indigenous Services Canada – Lands Department is also considered a non essential service and is closed until further notice.
Please note that land transfers, estate transfers, applications for administration, the writing of last wills and testaments, mandates, and contractual agreements have been put on hold.
