Homework for participants:  Review and approve Terms of Reference Land Governance Agreement and Land Code Review and to prepare questions and comments Visit National Aboriginal Land Manager Association (NALMA) Website (organization supporting those First Nations under the RLEMP (Reserve Land and Environment Management Program) land regime.  – Kanehsatake currently funded under this regime. Visit Land Advisory Board (LAB) website (organization supporting those First Nations under the FNLMA (First Nation Land Management Agreement) land regime.  – Kanehsatake should actually be funded under this regime as we have signed our agreement. Description Land registration systems provide information to the public on what interests in land may exist related to a particular parcel of land. The reserve land base in Canada is increasing, and over 600 First Nations with over 3.5 million hectares of land are currently being served by several land registries and Canada. There are currently several acts and regulations that administer these registries.  Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNA) also has manuals and forms to assist the registries.  This standard is intended to complement be consistent with existing regulations, be referenced by regulation for a registry, and facilitate the harmonization with other registries. This standard was written by a committee of technical experts in land registries under a consensus model from a variety of Indigenous and non-Indigenous backgrounds.
